The Portégé G500 provides a unique and enhanced level of security, that fingerprint recognition offers. This increasing need for security was demonstrated in a recent survey by Toshiba which found that 90 per cent of entrepreneurs in Europe store sensitive business information and documents on their connected handheld but as many as 22 per cent admitted losing such a phone.

Using fingerprint authentication to access the Portégé G500 enables the devices to be secured in a simple and easy fashion. The finger print sensor can also be used to navigate the phone’s menu and lock these devices.
